Tasty and festive. This cranberry-orange whisky sour is the perfect drink for your holiday party.
Ingredients
3 ounces whisky
1 ounce cranberry juice
1 ounce freshly squeezed orange juice
1 1/2 ounces freshly squeezed lemon juice
3/4 ounce simple syrup
fresh cranberries
crushed ice
sugar, for dusting the glass
thyme sprig, for garnish
Preparation
1 – Place a good amount of sugar on a small plate. Use a small piece of lemon to set the rim. Dip the glass rim in the sugar to coat.
2 – Fill a lowball glass with a good amount of crushed ice. Set aside.
3 – Using a cocktail shaker, add the whisky, cranberry juice, orange juice, lemon juice and simple syrup. Shake vigorously for 15 seconds.
4 – Pour the whisky mixture in to the prepared glass. Garnish with fresh cranberries and a thyme sprig.
