AI Use & Disclosure

Purpose of This Disclosure

This disclosure explains how and where artificial intelligence (AI) is used across our digital publications.
Our goal is to ensure transparency, editorial integrity, and accountability, while clearly distinguishing between content supported by AI tools and content produced exclusively by human journalists.

Scope of AI Use

We use artificial intelligence (AI) tools in a limited, controlled, and non-autonomous manner to support the creation of selected non-sensitive editorial content.

AI is used only in the following content categories:

Within these categories, AI tools may assist with:

  • Early drafting and language refinement
  • Summarization of publicly available information
  • Stylistic editing and clarity improvements

AI tools are used as editorial aids only and do not replace human judgment, reporting, or editorial decision-making.

Categories Where AI Is Not Used

To protect editorial credibility and avoid potential risks, we do not use AI in the reporting, writing, analysis, interpretation, or publication of content in the following categories:

  • Politics
  • Economy
  • Health
  • Science
  • Technology

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Government and public policy
  • Elections and political actors
  • Financial markets, business, and economic analysis
  • Medical, health-related, or wellness topics
  • Scientific research, studies, or findings
  • Technology reporting, reviews, or technical analysis

All content in these categories is produced exclusively by human journalists and editors.

Editorial Oversight and Human Responsibility

All content created with the assistance of AI:

  • Is reviewed, edited, and approved by human editors prior to publication
  • Is subject to the same editorial standards as all other content
  • Remains under full human editorial responsibility

AI systems do not independently publish content, make editorial decisions, or determine newsworthiness.

Accuracy, Accountability, and Standards

We recognize that AI systems may produce incomplete or inaccurate outputs.
For this reason:

  • AI-generated material is treated as raw input, not final content
  • Editors are responsible for verification, context, and accuracy
  • We retain full accountability for all published material, regardless of whether AI tools were used

Updates to This Disclosure

If our practices change in a material way, this page will be updated accordingly.
