This supplement provides additional information required under the EU ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) and the GDPR for visitors accessing harbingertribune.com from the European Union or European Economic Area (EEA).

1. Legal Framework

The storage and access to information on your terminal equipment (including Local Storage) is regulated by Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive as implemented in national law. Under this provision, storing information in or accessing information from a user's terminal equipment requires either (a) the user's prior informed consent, or (b) the storage/access being strictly necessary for the provision of the information society service explicitly requested by the user.

Although based outside the EU, the Website is directed at users in the EU and therefore falls within the territorial scope of the GDPR (Art. 3(2) GDPR) and the ePrivacy Directive.

4. No Cross-Border Transfers of Personal Visitor Data

We do not actively collect personal data from visitors. Server log data processed by our hosting provider Vercel (USA) is transferred on the basis of Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework adequacy decision. No visitor data is stored in our editorial database (Supabase).

5. Your Rights as an EU Resident

As an EU/EEA resident, you have the following rights under the GDPR:
